Moderator

Cory Stephenson, Tax Manager, KPMG 

For the last 14 years Cory has been with KPMG in the individual tax practice, specializing in international tax matters in the expatriate area. She has extensive experience with individual tax consultations for individuals considering the aspects of departing on a foreign assignment, and coming inbound to the U.S. She also has over 14 years experience in tax compliance as it relates to U.S. tax returns for individuals on expatriate assignments, and foreign national individuals.  Cory is the go-to person for discussing complex cost projection calculations for global assignment considerations, and for advisory services on important client topics such as policy review and development for cross border considerations, and international social security.

 
 

Caroline Joy SCRP & SGMS,  Global Relocation Manager, Viasat

Prior to joining Viasat, Carol led the US domestic and international
relocation functions at Broadcom, Moog Inc, Northrop Grumman, MeadWestvaco, and
ING. Prior to her experience in the corporate community, Carol supported the
International Team at Primacy Relocation in Memphis, TN.

She has over 20 years of progressive experience in international HR, tax, expatriate
compensation, relocation, immigration, and vendor management. In her role at Viasat,
Carol is aligning processes and strategic initiatives to meet the diverse objectives of the
Viasat culture.

Carol enjoys spending time with her dog, Ziggy, day hikes, gardening, craft projects, and
researching new healthy recipes. In 2001, Carol completed 750 miles backpacking the
Appalachian Trail north from the southern terminus in Georgia. Her youngest daughter,
Kristin, shares her love of quilting, reading and writing short fiction. During football
season, you can find Carol supporting her favorite team, the Washington Redskins.



Ray Kirby, CRP, GMS, Manager, Talent Mobility, Nordstrom, Inc.


Ray joined Nordstrom in July 2017 to help build out a program for supporting talent movement within the Company. Prior to joining Nordstrom, Ray spent several years at Amazon supporting the Global Mobility team. He also has worked for third-party relocation providers, Graebel and Cartus. Ray specializes in process improvement, vendor management, policy development and improving the employee experience. He is currently the Vice President of the Pacific Northwest Relocation Council (PNwRC) and has traveled to over 60 countries. 

 

Veronica Raygoza, GMS-T- Global Mobility Manager, Square

Veronica Raygoza brings over 20 years of Human Resources experience in fast-paced, innovative
environments. She spent most of her career at Genentech, Roche Pharmaceuticals US headquarters, where she was instrumental in building their Global Mobility function. She currently works at Square and has spent  the two years implementing governance and compliance around the function. Veronica brings with her a unique lens with her experience working with talent in pharma and fintech industries. She currently is a Board member for BAMM and is serving as the Professional Development Chair for Square’s LatinX employee group.

 
Joleen Tomonaga, Manager, Talent Acquisition, Systems and Global Mobility, Qualcomm

Joleen joined Qualcomm in 2006 and prior to that was a H&W Benefits software analyst at Watson Wyatt. Collectively she has over 20 years of HR software experience with 10 having a Talent Acquisition focus including mobility programs. For the past 3 years she has been the dedicated Qualcomm Global Mobility Program Manager and she has been an active board member for the Southern California Relocation Council. She loves spending time with her family in San Diego and Northern California, hiking, rock climbing, yoga, and supporting dog rescues.




Staci White, Senior Immigration Specialist, ON Semiconductor

Staci joined ON Semiconductor in October 2016 as the Senior Immigration Specialist with the Global Mobility team. She manages all company immigration matters, inbound and outbound and is a critical
team member tasked with managing the Company’s internal immigration program to assure compliance
with international laws and regulations.

Staci’s experience includes nearly 19 years of experience specializing in immigration law.  Prior to joining
ON Semiconductor, she worked as the Immigration and Tax Specialist for Freeport-McMoRan for six
years. She also has 10 years of experience working for corporate immigration law firms including Littler,
Mendelson, Bacon & Dear, PLLC and Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP supporting attorneys and
resolving immigration issues for multi-national corporate clients. Staci has experience and expertise
working as an Immigration Paralegal, Client Relations Manager and Global Manager, Best Practices
Coordinator/Case Manager.

She serves on the Arizona Relocation Alliance Board as Corporate Chair, she is a member of the
Worldwide ERC, Society for Human Resources Management/ American Council on International
Personnel and earned her designation as a Global Mobility Specialist in 2012.
