Use of cookies. Cookies are small text files that a website transfers to a website visitor's hard disk or browser for added functionality or for tracking website usage. ARA does not use cookies to gather personal information like a website visitor's name or email address.

However, in order to measure the effectiveness of our online presence, ARA does use cookies to (1) identify repeat visitors to our website, (2) identify the path visitors take when on our website and (3) identify visitors who came to ‘aratoday.org’ as the result of a banner ad placed on a 3rd-party website. Any information gathered by the use of cookies is compiled on an aggregate, anonymous basis.

Security. ARA works hard to ensure that our website and/or system is secure and meets industry standards. If appropriate, we employ firewalls, encryption technology, user authentication systems – such as passwords and personal identification numbers — and control mechanisms to limit access to data and systems — such as single sign on technology.
